Más de 75% of customers impacted by storms that moved through I&M’s territory on viernes evening and sábado morning tienen now been restored.
Most customers who can safely receive power who are not scheduled to be restored by 11 PM tonight son expected to be tienen power by 5 PM tomorrow. Some customers may receive power sooner. Consulte complete listing below.
Our team of restoration experts will continue to work around the clock until every customer is restored.
SITUATION
Approximately 10,500 clientes still without power including 9,800 in Michigan and 700 in Indiana.
I&M will reach out to customers who are not expected to be restored by 11 PM tonight. It is important that customers keep their account information updated, so we are able to reach you during outages and emergency situations.
ESTIMATED RESTORATION TIMES
The following times reflect when most affected customers will be restored, though some will have power before the stated time. Also, these are generalized areas. Please see the chart at the end of this document for a list of cities and towns that fall under each area.
Marion: Fully restored
Avilla: 11 PM tonight
Decatur: 11 PM tonight
Fort Wayne: 11 PM tonight
Elkhart: 11 PM tonight
South Bend: 11 PM tonight
Benton Harbor: 11 PM tonight for the following areas –

Washington Ave area, St. Joe
Townline Rd area, Benton Harbor and Sodus

Due to the widespread damage from this storm, in some cases damage may affect the equipment connected directly to your home or business. If that’s the case, a licensed electrician may need to make repairs before we can safely restore service. Checking for any visible damage and contacting an electrician, if needed, can help those repairs get completed sooner so we can restore your power.

Stay Away from Downed Lines: All downed lines should be considered energized and deadly. El power line y anything it could touch, including fences, storm debris, and standing water, can carry electric current that could cause serious or fatal injuries. If you see a fallen wire, keep yourself and others (including pets) away and call local police or I&M immediately at 1-800-311-4634.
Take It Slow on the Road: Drivers should reduce speed and be on the lookout for utility personnel, emergency responders, and tree removal crews working in the area.
