Located in Marion, Ind., Carey Services is a staple to the community. Offering specialized services for individuals with disabilities and their families, their organization lives by the mission of helping people turn abilities into opportunities. And with help from the American Electric Power (AEP) Foundation and Indiana Michigan Power (I&M), they are generating more awareness for their programs and resources by simply driving down the road.

Relying on a small fleet, Carey Services offers transportation around the clock to individuals and families using their services. To make the most of these vehicles, while generating awareness for their organization, I&M, in partnership with the AEP Foundation, provided funding to wrap three of the transportation vehicles. 

"We are honored to partner with Carey Services and support their community efforts, which includes their robust programming aimed at promoting individual development," said Rob Keisling, I&M External Affairs manager. "The impact they have on Marion is notable and we are excited to see this grow in the future."

The wrapped vehicles will travel throughout the community, helping people recognize Carey Services and learn more about the opportunities available for education, job training, and personal growth. The project, which supports Carey Services' mission, also reflects I&M's and the AEP Foundation's commitment to education, inclusion and community impact.

"We're grateful to the AEP Foundation for helping us reach more people," said Jim Allbaugh, President/CEO at Carey Services. "This project will help individuals with disabilities find the support they need to live more independently and be more involved in their communities."
