With the flip of a switch, downtown Fort Wayne is ready for the holiday season. As tens of thousands of attendees looked on, the annual Downtown Improvement District's Night of Lights event on Nov. 22 did not disappoint.
Starting at 5:45 p.m., the lighting of the History Center kicked off the event. To allow spectators to view all displays, lightings were conducted in 20-minute increments.
Leading up to the I&M wreath lighting, the IMPC plaza was full of live entertainment, a bucket truck photo opportunity and free hot chocolate. With I&M's Dave Isaacson leading the countdown, the switch was flipped to illuminate the plaza in red and green as the wreath came to life for another year.
Stop by the I&M plaza through December to see this display lit up as we look to power festive memories this season.
