There is no denying the power of a team. As individuals come together, they accomplish goals benefiting more than themselves - they impact those around them. Teams in South Bend and Fort Wayne recently helped at different local organizations, highlighting why volunteering is so important to our communities.
Ronald McDonald House Charities (RMHC) in South Bend provides a home-away-from-home for families with hospitalized children, allowing them to remain close by. During the holidays, RMHC transforms its space into a winter wonderland filled with gifts for families donated from the community. I&M staff helped bring some additional magic of the season, setting up Santa's Workshop for some very special visitors to come.
In Fort Wayne, employees with I&M's project design team requested the opportunity to serve lunch at the Rescue Mission. Together, they were tasked with preparing food trays for those facing a homelessness crisis. The group used this opportunity for team building, but experienced how rewarding it was giving back to the community. Going forward, they are now signed up to volunteer for monthly food service for this organization.
I&M is invested in working together to support growth and the initiatives of the communities we serve. For more information on how we are powering the next community initiative, visit the community section of the I&M website.
